Intimate Apparel: with Carolyn Ferrari

Recently I had the pleasure of stealing a few minutes to hang and chill in a quiet Downtown spot with the multifaceted talent Carolyn Ferrari. While we sat watching the people blink like the lights of the city, I had the idea of asking people in the fashion and entertainment business a few odd questions. So I email her first and this is what she replied

My Music - How do I describe my music?
Well, I think music has always been like a special friend. A wonderful gift really. We have the best relationship. Music takes me on many and varied emotional journeys, and House music in particular is very dear to my heart.

I am grateful to be able to be on the creative side of music at this time, because I can give back, when I have received so much. I hope I have, and will continue to touch people with my words, and I appreciate all of the producers who have found value in my voice. Carolyn performs as spoken word artist

My Jewelry - I think my jewelry is a wonderful expression of the quirky inner workings of my mind. It is so neat to take stones, beads and crystals and form them into art. I put my heart into everything I create - from the simplest earrings to the most complex necklaces and body wear. I have often referred to the pieces as my children. I think this is the closest tangible representation of my inner self as I will ever have the opportunity to create. I am always surprised by the connections between my audience and particular pieces in a collection. I love the emotional response. I am once again grateful for the appreciation of my work.

When no one is watching, I love to wear...nothing at all. I can be free, in my skin with noone telling me it has to match, or look a certain way, or meet certain requirements of the environment or society. I love that freedom. a few samples of Carolyn's jewerly collection
